Built in 1934 as the Otsu Public Hall, this facility has been used for many years and regarded fondly by locals as a place for interaction among citizens.
It is a building of high historical value, having been ranked as one of the most significant buildings existing in Otsu City in the Shiga Prefecture Comprehensive Survey of Modernization Heritage.
Today, the building has been reborn as a social and commercial facility with four restaurants, while maintaining its distinct atmosphere from the time it was created.
The 2nd and 3rd floors are equipped with rental rooms and a rental hall which can be used for various purposes and uses.

Under the motto of ""Creating a City of Love,"" we aim to add charm to Otsu City's downtown area by bringing together a diverse range of people to interact with each other. The museum also aims to pass on its value to future generations as a a preservable cultural asset capable of being utilized.
