Located a 10-minute walk from Otsu Station toward Lake Biwa, the Otsu Civic and Community Hall is equipped with a main hall that can accommodate up to 1,300 people, a smaller hall, rehearsal rooms, and conference rooms.
Since its construction on April 3, 1975, with the aim of promoting civic culture, the hall has been a popular venue for cultural activities by citizens, expanding the connection of people and culture with the motto of "The Dramatic Hall of Nagisa, promoting the interaction between people and art.

The Otsu Civic and Community Halls are conveniently located in the center of Japan's largest main island, Honshu. The magnificent Lake Biwa extends just north of the building, and the popular sightseeing ship ""Michigan"" and the luxury cruise ship ""Bianca"" reside at the nearby Otsu Port, perfect for after convention excursions and activities. A wide variety of mesmerizing sightseeing spots, including historical and cultural sites, natural scenery, and hot springs, are also available.
From the Otsu Civic Hall's Main Hall, which can accommodate 1,300 people, to the Community Hall's meeting rooms for smaller groups, there are facilities to meet a variety of needs. Multiple venues can be used in combination according to the needs of your event, making it possible to use the facility for academic conferences, symposiums, seminars, exhibitions, ceremonies, events, and other events, both large and small.
