The Biwako Hotel, possessing a grand open space which overlooks Lake Biwa, can accommodate gatherings of up to 1,000 people.
This example is a medical conference attended by 500 medical professionals that is held in a hybrid format, with online participation also possible, and a reception held in the evening at the former Lake Biwa Hotel, the "Biwako Otsukan," located about 10 minutes away by car.

Day 1
The event’s operations committee will meet in the morning, and begin with an opening ceremony followed by symposiums and discussion panels on healthcare in the afternoon.
In the evening, the event will move to the multi-purpose hall at the Biwako Otsu-kan for a reception.
Registration
Registration is held in the lobby where a grand view of Lake Biwa stretches out before you. There is also a cloakroom across from the registration desk to ensure a smooth welcome for all participants.

The medium banquet hall “Rose” is used. This venue is equipped with a dedicated line for communication service, providing a fast and stable Internet environment for online meetings.

Symposiums and Panel Discussions
The main banquet hall “Ruri” overlooks Lake Biwa from the foyer and is designed to resemble the bottom of the lake, including a gorgeous chandelier representing tens of thousands of migrating fish. It can be divided into three sections according to the number of participants and purpose for use.
For this event, the venue will be divided into two sections.

Reception
In the evening, a reception will be held in the multi-purpose “Momoyama” hall of the Biwako Otsu-kan. Western course and buffet meals will be served in the hall, which still retains strong classical traces of the time period when it was the former Lake Biwa Hotel.

Day 2
In addition to the large banquet hall “Ruri” used on the previous day, a small banquet hall will be utilized to hold lectures, symposiums, and smaller presentations at the same time. Company exhibitions will also be held in the foyer.

There are nine small banquet rooms available with flexible layouts for breakout sessions, office space, waiting rooms, small dinners, etc. The largest room, “Orange Brown,” will be used for this event.

The conference hall is equipped with a luxurious chandelier depicting tens of thousands of migrating fish to create the feeling of being at the bottom of a lake, and can also be divided into separate rooms depending on the number of people in attendance or the purpose of your event.

Yanagasaki Lakeside Park - Biwako Otsu-kan
Category: Unique VenuesThe Biwako Otsu-kan is the former Biwako Hotel, which was an international hotel built in 1934, and the building is registered as a tangible cultural property of Otsu City.
It has a hall and several medium and small meeting rooms that can be used for various purposes such as seminars, lectures, conferences, and meetings.
On the nearby premises, there is also a rose garden which is one of the largest in Shiga Prefecture, and a pier for the cruise ship ""Michigan.""
